Opened in 1976, it was in 1980 that Louise Pomerleau and Jean-Paul St-Hilaire acquired Chez Gérard. At the time, the restaurant was just a simple counter with 20 seats and employed 3 people. The following years were filled with projects: expansion, renovation, moving. In 2007, Amélie St-Hilaire joined the management of the company. Today, Chez Gérard employs more than 55 people and can accommodate 185 people.
